Longstitch
Long stitch is a textured tapestry/needlepoint stitch and is used to fill large areas of canvas. It can be worked in differing lengths in varying directions to create a design, or worked in a single direction.
It is worked from right to left. It can be a straight Stitch or a diagonal stitch. Is is usually stitched using Tapestry Wool or Soft Cotton
It is usually stitched on Canvas or Aida and can create wonderful designs for example beautiful scenery or floral designs. It is probably an easier stitch compared to cross stitch and is uses thicker thread and is easier on the eyes.
