L.S Lowry

L.S. Lowry lived Northern England and this is where he got his inspiration from, most of his work is of urban scenes. He used 'matchstick men' in his work. He was appointed an official war artist and official artist at the coronation of Elizabeth II. He never married and was a very private man.
