Wooden and Plywood Kits

Using a wood or plywood surface as the base for cross-stitch, embroidery, threading or decorative stitching offers a unique canvas. Instead of fabric (like Aida cloth), the wood provides rigidity, structural interest and a creative twist.

The wood piece is typically pre-punched or perforated so you have consistent holes for stitching. Some kits specifically note “pre-punched plywood blank"

The wood is often thin plywood (e.g., 2 mm or similar) to allow stitching without splitting. Example: a wooden elephant decoration kit says “Made from 2mm thick plywood”

Final pieces tend to have decorative value as well as craft value — they can stand alone, hang on the wall, make gifts, etc.
