Yep — 40m anchor wool hanks are ideal if you’re covering a big section (like large fills, backgrounds, or chunky blocks of colour).

Because they come in a hank rather than a small skein, you get way more continuous thread, which means:

  • fewer joins and knots

  • more consistent colour across the area

  • better value if you’re using that shade a lot

Only thing to watch: you’ll usually want to cut and separate strands (if it’s embroidery/needlework) before using, otherwise it can tangle a bit straight off the hank.
